waste_dwords
I’m trying to set up Mac OSX v. 10.5.2 on the hardware listed below. So far I’ve tried iAtkos v7, #####, and iPC following specific BIOS settings listed on tonymacx86’s blog. So far, ##### has given me an ‘EBIOS read error’ while iAtkos and iPC give ‘Slist not found’ errors. I’ve tried swapping optical drives and stripping the system down to the bare minimum (1 stick of ram, 1 HDD and no graphics card.) Any ideas? <a href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128437">GIGABYTE GA-H55-USB3 LGA 1156 Intel H55 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814161315 Antec TPQ-850 850W Continuous Power ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active ... dothacker
Ebios read error on ##### is due to the fact that you didn't let the CD sit for a little bit before you hit F5. waste_dwords
Update: I’m now getting past the EBIOS error. Now I get a kernel panic: ‘”Unable to find driver for this platform:\”ACPI\”./n”@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu1504.9.17/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1389 Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/237703-cant-boot/#findComment-1587886 Share on other sites

waste_dwords
Thank you. I appreciate any advice you can give. 1. This is how I set up the bios settings Advanced Frequency Settings: Advanced Memory Settings: Advanced Voltage Settings: Misc Settings: Standard CMOS Features: Advanced Bios Features : Integrated Peripherals: Power Management Setup: PC Health Settings: 2. Hit F10 to save and exit, then reboot. 3. Once I got the bootloader screen I did busratio=16 –v 4. Got into the install area and found the Hardware Info 5. Used Disk Utility to select and format HDD 6. After choosing the HDD I customized these settings Bootloader: Bootloader Options: Patches+RTC+Modified Kernels: Sata IDE Drivers: Main Hardware: Graphics Driver: Network Drivers: 7. Finishes installing so I reboot with the Iatkos removed (got the same result when leaving it in as well) 8. I select Snow Leopard and use the startup options busratio=16 –x –v. Tried it with just –v as well This results in a reboot loop. I can’t get farther than this point so far. The last screen that shows with an error before it reboots is this: Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/237703-cant-boot/#findComment-1593025 Share on other sites
