michael.su Posted November 19, 2010 Share Posted November 19, 2010 Hey Everyone, I've been struggling with a crackly microphone input for about a month. The speaker output is fine it's just input that's the problem. I have a C-Media usb sound stick that i've been using with no problem under iPC 10.5.6 for at least a year. I finally updated to 10.5.8 and now the microphone input is crackly and jarbled. I've tried tweaking settings but no luck so far. I can only imagine it has something to do with the updated drivers in 10.5.8. Does anyone know if there is a way to find out which Kexts are being used by OSX for USB sound? I've tried swapping some of the USB kexts including USB Family Kext but ended up just breaking stuff :-0 Hackintoshing is fun! lol anywho, If I can figure out which files that I am dealing with, I can start testing with different versions.
