php2010
Hello everyone... I've been interested in playing around with OSX. What I mainly want to know: is my rig capable of running OSX in a stable manner? AMD Phenom II X4 965 ASUS M4A79T Deluxe ATI ASUS HD 5870 If the LAN won't work, I have a wifi card: D-Link DWA-552. I'm not sure if that works either. If it is possible and will run stable, where should I look to gather all the drivers, etc. I will need in order to get this up and running? I've read quite a bit tonight about iDeneb but I don't want to waste bandwidth downloading the wrong things. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. dothacker
I'm not sure about the 552, but the 525 works with Ralink drivers. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/237532-hello-everyone/#findComment-1586363 Share on other sites
php2010
I'm not sure about the 552, but the 525 works with Ralink drivers. Are you implying that everything else will work? How about the onboard LAN for the mobo? I'd hate to attempt to "test" the 552 without any prior knowledge on how to fix any mess-ups. I also have a much older machine that I could install Everest on and jot down everything and let you know about that computer. Thanks for the response.
