Richard79 Posted November 17, 2010 Share Posted November 17, 2010 So I've got my install up and running.... a few little problems I'd like to iron out over the coming weeks. Most frustrating one at present is the graphics. I'm using a Sapphire HD5770 vanilla and running one monitor at 1920x1080. The screen looks good although it could be smoother with transitions looking a little jittery and text not being very sharp (I'm using a good monitor too Samsung P2250). The "problem" seems to mainly affect my ability to edit or view photos or do any large screen work. If I open iPhoto I can see thumbnail previews of my images but can't open them to full screen. If I try to slideshow the screen blinks black (think fade in - fade out) and that's it. Also I'm unable to screengrab, I just found this out when I tried to sg System Profilers > Graphics/Displays for you guys. I'm currently booting using just the arch=i386 so full graphics options should be available. Not really sure what other information you might need, but please ask and I'll respond asap. Thank you!!
