Which software should I use? (leo4all, kalyway, etc) got it to install with Kalyway but hangs on apple logo with loading icon under it. If anyone can help me figure out if I can do this, and if so which way. Its a laptop so not much bios options. Please some one assist me. Keep in mind im a noob! Alessandro17
I can hardly find anything about your notebook, nor find exactly which motherboard it has, which is the most important point. Which method you use (which distro or vanilla) doesn't really change the terms of the problem. You said you could install Kalyway. That is already a lot. Try to boot with -v cpus=1 Let's know the verbose output if it doesn't start.
Sadisic
Alright, Well I tried to reinstall kalyway again, and it didn't work this time. So i tried iPC the latest and final. It booted up, and i set up the harddrive correctly (extended journal, fresh erase format). It failed a few times, so i messed with the included kexts, and finally got it to successfully install, then it stays on the gray screen with apple logo, just loading. From what CPU-Z says: SSE (1,2,3,3s,4.1) (and disc said it should support SSE2 or 3, so im good there. Mainboard - Manufacturer: ASUSTek Computer Inc Model: N80Vb (1.0) Chipset: Intel - PM45 Southbridge: Intel - 828019M(ICH9-M) Hope that helps, I just want this {censored} to work, so if anyone can walk me through. I would appreciate it.

Sadisic
I booted from iPC disc, then typed in "-v flag" it ran numbers down the screen like when i installed it typing "=v cpus=1" then changed to the next screen and scrolled the text fast down the screen, then restarted. When i go try to get on my Mac Os X, it still hangs at the grey screen with apple logo in the middle, and nothing is happening after that. Any other ways? is there certain kexts to choose? I choose the ones that sound right for me, so that may be issue. I'm not sure.

Alessandro17
There is a guide here: http://osx86.sojugarden.com/installer/ It sounds pretty simple.
