fryingpan
Hello, After succesfully installing Snow Leopard 10.6.2 on my Gigabyte MA78GM-UD2H mainboard/Phenom X4 9950 BE/Nvidia 9800 GT 512 MB videocard, I tried to install it on my Shuttle SN78SH7 barebone system (Phenom II X4 955/ATI Radeon 4670 512 MB videocard). The problem is: I can install SL on it, but after booting I can only start safeboot with -x. If I start normally then I get a kernel panic. I already tried to install with no additional kexts checked during installation, but still kernel panic in normal boot mode. The SN78SH7 has the Nvidia 8200 (MCP 78) chipset, but should be supported by Leohazard Client/Server 10.6.2 Intel AMD distro. The ATI 4670 can be made working with QE/acceleration, but should work with standard framebuffer kext. So I think hardware is OK. Can someone tell me what kexts should be checked during installation to avoid a kernel panic in normal boot mode ? I already tried to install with the most basic settings, but still kernel panic in normal boot mode, so some kext(s) during normal booting will cause kernel panic. See attachment of kernel panic dump thanks in advance, Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/237188-sn78sh7-shuttle-barebone-only-safe-boot-with-x/ Share on other sites
