atbrace
I'm working on my first OSx86 build on a Dell Inspiron E1505, and while it's been rocky so far I've had all the problems ironed out except for one big one. System specs: CPU: Intel C2D T5300 (multi-core disabled in BIOS) GPU: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 RAM: 2x1GB Kingston DDR2-PC5300 HDD: Intel X25-V 40GB SSD I have a retail 10.6.3 Snow Leopard disk, and I'm trying to use #####. I can get ##### to boot up just fine, but when I change out the disks and boot SL I get an instant kernel panic with this message: panic(cpu 0 caller 0x55bfa5) unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".\n"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.9.17/iokit/Kernel/IOPlatformExpert.cpp:1389 The BIOS doesn't have an option to disable ACPI, and it also doesn't have an option to set SATA to AHCI mode so I don't know if that's the problem. I've also tried passing -x to ##### when I boot the SL disk, and the same thing happens. Does anybody have a solution or workaround to this? I'm completely lost
