thingi
Hi, My oc'd intel mac mini finally blew up the other day so I'm having to use my N110 netbook with my 23" monitor at the moment (which isn't that bad at all really :-) I'm running 10.6.4 with Quartz Extreme and the external monitor is running fine at 1680x1050, the trouble is that I've not quite got enough performance for all flash to run properly on the external screen. My gma950 is overclocked to 400mhz which helps a bit but I'd like to dedicate all the Video memory to the external display. I'm also using my bt apple keyboard (old white style) & a magic mouse so closing the netbook lid is a no-go since 'clamshell mode' only works by waking from usb as far as I can tell (don't even know if clamshell mode is possible on a osx86 + I had enough hassle getting sleep to work properly anyway). So the question is how to I enable a 'clamshell' like mode and output to the external display only with the lid open? I'd be reasonably happy with a dsdt mod / kext hack to permanently disable the internal video as I can put up booting into a different partition for when I'm away from my desk. please help! thingi
