Hello,

I've installed SL (10.6.5) on my Toshiba Satellite L40-18y, and it works great. I mean, QE and stuff, but my Processor Frequency is 798MHz. It should be 1.73GHz, like my CPU, right?

I've tried adding the SMBios.plist on /Extras/ but nothing happend. Here are the specs:

Processor

------------------

type : Intel® Pentium® dual-core processor T2370

clock speed : 1.73 GHz

Front Side Bus : 533 MHz

2nd level cache : 1 MB

Graphics

-----------------

manufacturer : Intel®

type : Intel® GMA X3100

memory amount : up to 358 MB total available graphics memory with 2 GB system memory

memory type : shared

Full specs available here: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/inn...ODUCT_ID=145079

PS: I've got 3GB of ram.

I've attached my SMBios file, maybe it's something wrong with it.. Also, here are my GeekBench results: http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/316819

Is there any way to fix the frequency? I'm pulling my hair out for this...

Thank you!

Thank you for your answer. I've installed Chameleon and the SMBios.plist file you gave me, and it's nothing different...

Benchmark results here: http://browse.geekbench.ca/geekbench2/view/316924

Damn, this thing is killing me...

Again, thanks for the answer, I really appreciate it!

send me a kextstat

run on terminal

add in smbios

SMmaximalclock (Ex.: 1730 = 1.73 GHz)

This is cosmetic

Thanks

I thought you were using a kext (smbiosresolver, for example)

but is not

do what I said above

add in smbios

SMmaximalclock (Ex.: 1730 = 1.73 GHz)
