mick.wheelz
I have tried following several guides for this mobo to get retail snow leopard installed, but so far with no success. Using this (http://osx86.co/f57/guide-retail-snow-leopard-dvd-install-for-g31m-t3672/) guide has yielded the most success.. I did try the guide for this mobo on this forum, but that would power off before the installe even loaded (would just get a grey screen with a mouse and then, bam, power off) What happens is that it gets about half way through the install and the system suddenly powers off... no errors, nothing in the install log, just power off. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? It is really frustrating. cheesetoast
is this a new computer build? you could be having overheating issues. Check the heatsincs on the motherboard, especially the CPU. Try booting off an ubuntu cd and see how the machine runs. Also go download ultimatebootcd.com and test the memory. my money's on a loose cpu heatsinc.
