supernov
Hi all, Got 10.4.6 installing just fine on a partition of my primary hd with Windows XP on it. Making a partition with diskpart, setting id=af didn't work for me. I erased the partition with the OSX disc utility (Extended Journaled) and installed. Now when I try to boot the partition I get "HF+ partition error". The Disc Utility finds no problems and sees it should be bootable. What's going on? Btw: Installation with JaS 10.4.6, Radeon 9600 128 mb gfx card, hd primary, partition is marked as AF Cheerz, supernov Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23687-hf-partition-error/ Share on other sites
supernov
Apparently noone has had this problem before? edit: Ah, apparently I needed to search the forum a bit better. I'll try the following when I'm back at the computer: The fact OSX is now based on Unix is really nice, with all those familiar commands from Linux. This would really be great, I don't like the X-Window system of Linux that much and OSX could be concidered the perfect alternative. " For HFS+ Partition error, boot your install DVD. At the first screen, go to the Utilities menu and select Terminal. Type: sudo fdisk -u /dev/rdisk0 Remove the DVD and reboot.
