pippin418
I recently reinstalled iDeneb v1.3 (10.5.5) on my computer, since mDnsResponder was giving me problems. After the reinstall, no matter what I do, it stalls at IOPCCardBridge::start failed This was a problem in my previous installation, but I moved around some kexts (lots of custom IOPCIFamily.kexts and some FireWire) and it would still throw the error at me, but it would boot up. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, does anyone have a kext for ATI Radeon Xpress 200M, I just want to get 1280x800, I don't need any acceleration. Just a kext that will give me 1280x800 resolution. "Graphics Mode"="1280x800x32" isn't doing it. Thanks! My specs are: HP Pavilion dv5215us AMD 64bit ATI Radeon 200M Series 2 GB RAM iDeneb v1.3 (10.5.5) Formatted as: Macintosh HD (Not Journaled, Not Case-Sensitive)
pippin418
Resolved by removing all kexts starting with IOFireWire. (rm -rf IOFireWire*) As well as removing IOPCCardFamily.kext (make backups). That completely solved it, though I can't use Card Readers now, not that it matters to me.
