i'd say try them all. Start with the Vanilla install, read the instructions and if it's too much of a hastle for you, then get the distros. iAtkos S3 v2 or whatever distro you can get.

The only way you can find out that your system will work is to find out for yourself.

Hey John,

recently i bought the same version of Dell XPS. Now i'm waiting for delivery. Did you successfully install the hackintosh?

I appreciate if you let me know how you did it.

Thanks a lot!

Hey I have a very similar system but I don't think I can get it to work because ##### GE doesn't have mobile support for the 4XX series gt's.

However if anybody has gotten it to work please post your success.

I'm looking at buying the xps 14 myself but probably won't buy it if OS X won't work at all on it.

Given that ##### GE (ie. ##### nVidia 4xx) doesn't currently with mobile cards, does anyone know of any indication whether these cards will be supported in the next month or so? I don't understand the bootloader side of things at all so I don't know whether it's something that needs to be patched up (as in just adding device IDs, which seems quite doable) or whether something would have to be written essentially from scratch (obviously a lot less likely to happen)

Cheers
