stopfire
So I have been working a lot with my laptop trying to dual boot snow leopard and windows 7. I have been following this guide from Komano here step by step since I have the exact same laptop as him. Motherboard: North Bridge Intel DMI Host Bridge Revision 11 South Bridge Intel PM55 Revision 11 CPU:Intel® Core i7 CPU Q 720 @ 1.60GHz Ram: 4GB of Ram GPU: Nvidia GT240M Audio: Realtek ALC272 Ethernet: Broadcom BCM57780 Wifi: Intel Wireless 5300AGN I have gotten as far as the Chemeleon screen with the Macosx Installation option and have tried all sorts of combinations of -v, -f, busratio=12, -x, cpus=1. Here are the images of what shows up. and then after the 4th screenshot it automatically reboots. I have my BIOS set to ACHI and have tried with virtual settings, wireless, lan options all disabled. I'm not sure what is causing this from the boot screen, I don't see any errors. But I will go over what I have done and maybe someone can catch something I am doing wrong. I partitioned my hard drive for the future Snow Leopard installation. I took an image of a retail 10.6 Snow Leopard and restored it onto a thumbdrive that is in a GUID partition table. Took the i385 folder from the Chameleon RC5 and did all of the commands that were in the mini tutorial from the link that I posted above. Because I have 10.6 I took the OSInstall.mkpg from here and the OSInstall from here and put them in the correct folders replacing the files already there. And that's it, I plugged it into my laptop, booted it up, chose the MacOSx installation and then the pictures i have linked show the rest. Does anyone have any ideas?
