Ok let's start with the setup.

I7 870

Asus P7P55D-E

G15 Keyboard

Realtek Lan

GTX 470 Gfx card

Ok so after using a bootloader I can get the install cd to boot and complete the setup using -x. Which I at first believed was due to the incompatibility with the GTX 470. So I got done doing the whole setup thing, Next i make it through to get to the desktop can do any updates I want. Also can cruise around on the internet. Most things actually seem to be working quite well.

Then once I get the kext in I do a restart and this is when the fun begins. I can't enter OS X again. I get some type of kernal panic and It starts a boot loop. I have tried -x, and acpi=off. But nothing besides a boot loop. Also tried a -v to see if I could find the problem but it restarts soo sudden I haven't caught the full error.

Soo I know there are problems with the gtx 470 but wouldn't that be solved by starting in safe mode? I am really new to this and even though I have done quite a bit of reading I'm just not sure where to start. Or if this is some complete incompatibility with my system and just to cut my losses.[/size]
