I know that this has got to be some sort of stupid user error, but I can't get VoodooHDA to pay any attention to the Info.plist file. It installed fine and my sound works, but I have feedback and default level issues that I'd like to fix without messing with the driver code.

The Info.plist nodes are completely wrong for my hardware, but it still works. Nothing that I change seems to be having any impact. I don't know where it's getting it's config info from but it's not here. Even setting VoodooHDAVerboseLevel has no impact. There are no startup errors or any indication that the driver is encountering any issues reading the file.

I'm making the changes to:

/System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA/Contents/Info.plist

Clearing /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup before reboot (yeah..probably overkill, but I'm trying anything at this point)

The versions in the plist match the kext and it's actually the plist that came in the package that I'm modifying.

Any ideas?
