MikeKiller
Hello, a friend of mine has a problem with his Internal LCD from his Laptop. The laptop is a HP Compaq Presario A900. It only shows half the screen, and its also streched. (see attachement) So I've followed this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=208410 I tried to override the EDID, but then it got even worse. Half the screen went grey. His EDID is: 00FFFFFF FFFFFF00 06AF8762 00000000 01110103 80251778 0A1CF597 58508E27 27505400 00000101 01010101 01010101 01010101 01019E25 A0405184 0C30D020 36006FE5 10000018 0000000F 00000000 00000000 00000000 00200000 00FE0041 554F0A20 00202020 20202020 000000FE 00423137 30505730 36205632 200A000B I've created a file named "DisplayProductID-6287" in the folder /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-6af The content of this file is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>DisplayProductID</key> <integer>25223</integer> <key>DisplayProductName</key> <string>Internal LCD Forced EDID</string> <key>DisplayVendorID</key> <integer>1711</integer> <key>IODisplayEDID</key> <data> AP///////wAGr4diAAAAAAERAQOAJRd4Chz1l1hQjicnUFQAAAABAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEB AQEBniWgQFGEDDDQIDYAb+UQAAAYAAAADwAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAgAAAA/gBBVU8KIAAg ICAgICAgAAAA/gBCMTcwUFcwNiBWMiAKAAs= </data> </dict> </plist> What am I doing wrong?
