Intel x3100 half grey screen

Hello, a friend of mine has a problem with his Internal LCD from his Laptop.

The laptop is a HP Compaq Presario A900.

It only shows half the screen, and its also streched. (see attachement)

So I've followed this guide: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=208410

I tried to override the EDID, but then it got even worse.

Half the screen went grey.

I've created a file named "DisplayProductID-6287" in the folder /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-6af
