austinar
hey there, my set up: Asus P6X58-E, Intel i7 930 OC 4GHz 4GbRam (meant to be 6 but 1 stick doesnt work) Sata1 = HDD (GUID as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)) Sata2 = DVD Graphics = Nvidia 470GTX My problem: I've tried using this install process: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index. ... id=1574910 and i've tried using both ##### and ##### supported but my install keeps hanging, at first it couldnt find the HDD and now it hangs at yukon: Ethernet address 20:cf:30:66:b0:45 I used the same flags as on the forum above but havent yet been able to get to a snow leopard install screen, always hangs or stops/brings up an error... Can any one point me in the right direction? I will admit i'm a complete n00b to software (like editing DSDTs and everything) but i'm slowly getting an idea I'm on a rusty old MBP so if there is anyway of installing OSX on the drive via USB and then installing chameleon... (dont know if thats right...?) Any ideas would be great =) Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/235999-stuck-with-installation/ Share on other sites
Nightstalker
I wish I could help you out but I'm in exactly the same position with the same MB and Graphics Card. I get to the yukon: Ethernet Address bit and it tells me to power off and power on again (when I'm not in -v mode). Please take pity on us poor noobs.
