Black Apple
I hope this isn't extremely redundant but I thought I'd share some things I've discovered by using my Mac. Hopefully some of you can add to the list as well. Anyhow, I thought that since I've got a few minutes I'd post a few tips and tricks that I've learned along the way. Let's start with a few neat keyboard tricks: Ctrl + Shift + 3 - Take a screen shot of your display. Ctrl + Shift + 4 - Take a screen shot of a section of your display - (Gives a plus sign for you to drag a over a portion of your screen) Ctrl + Option + Command + 8 - Inverts the colors of your screen. (Press again to go back) Terminal Tricks: Open a Terminal --> Type emacs --> hit esc --> x --> type doctor Open a Terminal --> Type emacs --> hit esc --> x --> type tetris Open a Terminal --> Type emacs --> hit esc --> x --> type tetris GUI Tricks: Select text in your browser and then drag and drop it onto your desktop, it will create a plain text file. Minimize your window in slow motion by holding the shift key while you click the minimize button Open up Safari and find a nice long web page. Load up Terminal and type “Killall Dock” without quotes but do not hit enter yet. Make sure your Safari window is in the background and Terminal is your active window. Hold down the shift key and click the minimize button on your Safari window. About halfway through, hit enter to execute your Terminal command. Your Safari window will be stuck in a minimize sequence but still usable. You can scroll, load a new web page, or open a new tab. Here's a video of how some of these are done:

Black Apple
No Problem... Here's something else I found interesting (or nauseating) depending how you look at it... Try this: Open up a terminal and paste the following into it and then press enter: /System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.framework/Resources/ScreenSaverEngine.app/Contents/MacOS/ScreenSaverEngine -background & I think you need to have your screensaver previously setup before this will work though. Anyhow... something else to try on a Mac!
