Can't watch online video after updating -

Hi everyone,

First of all, thanks for taking the time to read this post. I apologize for my ignorance in advance, I am not very knowledgeable in osx86 or even Mac beyond the average user sense. I am a fast learner and will do my best.

 

I have a MSI Wind U100 that is currently running a 10.5.8 build with vanilla 9.8.0.

I just updated from 10.5.6 using Software Update in order to fix software compatibility issues.

Amazing it went pretty smooth and everything is still working, almost...

 

I had a problem with the Intel GM 950 kexts but found a kext pack for 10.5.7 that worked perfectly. I now have 1024x600 accelerated with QE/CI and Quartz GL enable through OSX86Tools.

 

However, I can't watch any videos online. All I get is the audio and no video. Problem persists in Safari and Firefox.

 

I have updated and have the current Java and Flash. I also updated to Safari 5, don't know if that is of any consequence.

 

I tried repairing permissions to know avail. I used OSX86Tools to Repair Permissions, Set Extension Permissions, and Clear Cache. Reboot and still having the same problem.

 

I think there must be a problem with Java.

 

I'm not sure if this will help, but when I run Verify Disk in Disk Utility I get these permission errors. They aren't fixed by repairing permissions either.

It seems enabling Quartz GL in OSX86Tools caused the problem. I disabled it and now I can watch videos online again.
