I want to share my experience with Snow Leopard

100% working Configuration

Motherboard: ASUS P5KC

CPU: Intel Core2Duo E6550 @ 2.33 GHZ

Graphic: nVidia GeForce 8500 512 MB

Sound: Realtek ALC883

Ethernet: Attansic L1 Ethernet

Everything is working on first step except Sound

First I install iAtkos S3 v2 disc with all default checked items plus Modified Kernel Qoodz 10.3.0, Intel Chipset ICH9(and Jmicron if you're using HDD on IDE) EVO Reboot, Sleep Enabler and nVidia Efi String DVI-VGA and AttansicL1Ethernet.

After first booting which will be succeed if you're having this configuration, you'll need kexts for sound card ALC883

Download it here

After you download this Find your Extra/Extensions folder on the root of your HDD (*which is by default hidden, you should go to utilities and run Show-Hide FilesScreenshot2010-11-01at115523AM.png copy it together with Extensions.mkext to the desktop, drag files from your downloaded Extra folder in the Extensions you're copied to the desktop and drag whole Extensions folder to the Kext Utility after it you will have two Extensions.mkext files, you only need Extensions.mkext not the one with bak in the middle, after this is complete, drag your new .mkext file and Extensions folder back in system root Extra folder. after that using Kext Helper install AppleHDA and HDAEnabler...

Restart and after all you can make update to the whole system...

It don't make any Panic.

I hope I help some of the owners of this equipment.

and if not, feel free to ask, maybe I can help you, cause I learn a lot of things, when I was first trying

to get everything work fine with 10.5.7 Mac.

This is what you need to see after all...

Hi there, I'm also trying to get iAtkos S3 v2 to my desktop...

My configuration is:

Motherboard: ASUS P5KC

CPU: Intel QuadCore Q6600

HDD: 500GB Samsung HD501LJ (SATA)

RAM: 4GB 866 MHz

Graphic: ATI Radeon HD 3850

Sound: Realtek ALC883

Ethernet: Attansic L1 Ethernet

I have some problems during instalation...

Why have you selected modified Kernel Qoodz 10.3.0?

Where is the Intel Chipset ICH9?

What is the objective of EVO Reboot, Sleep Enabler? Do I have to install it at my configuration?

Thanks

I have added Kernel Qoodz 10.3.0, but it works without it too...

Intel Chipset ICH9 is in SATA part in essential drivers. They are universal one kext for whole series of Intel ICH

I've added EVO reboot because I have some problems with restarting... but it's not necessary in many cases.

Sleep Enabler doesn't work :)
