[Solved] Kernel panic during installation on netbook AOD255

Hello.

I'm trying to install SnowLeo Mac OSX86 (Snow Leopard 10.6.2) from 4Gb USB flash drive to netbook Acer Aspire One D255 and getting kernel panic during installation:

I used iAtkos v7 installed on VirtualBox to prepare flash drive. To make it bootable on netbook I used NetbookBootMaker 0.8.3 (without this it doesn't boot).

Tried to use mach_kernel 10.2.0 for Atom from this thread. I renamed it to mach_kernel_1062 and moved to flash drive. After I typing "mach_kernel_1062 -v" it starts booting but stops on "Patching mach_kernel_1062".

Also I tried to install iAtkos v7 on netbook and got the same panic.

Can somebody help me?

You seem to be combining things that don't go together.Netbook Maker is supposed to be used with a Retail Snow Leopard disc,Mach_Kernel 10.2 is also for Snow Leopard,iAkos v7 is only Leopard.

So either get a Retail install disc and redo your Netbook maker usb stick(you will need an 8gb stick) or download iAtkos s3 v2 and use it.(simply choose Atom kernel during install)

I think you could also use iAkos v7 if you choose Voodoo kernel at install

NetbookBootMaker 0.8.3 works with Leopard but 0.8.4 works with Snow Leopard. I used 0.8.3 in Virtual Box running iAtkos v7.

I didn't combine iAtkos v7 and mach_kernel 10.2, I used it with SnowLeo.

Without NetbookBootMaker it doesn't boot. Also tried OSX86 Tools and it shows "boot0: mbr boot0: done" and doesn't boot too.

 

I don't have 8gb stick, that's why I'm trying to use iso which size <4gb

Solved with buying 8GB stick which boots with OSX86Tools fine.

wold you please give me clue how to install it, which one have to checked when custumize installation.. really need help..

I have read some of you posts on this forum on the Acer Aspier One 255.

Did you get OSX u and running?

What did work and what did't?
