mike200015
Hi, I installed OS X 10.4.6, and when i try to run it without the cd, i get a black screen with a flashing cursor. When I boot up the cd and type in rd=disk0s2 into the "boot:" area, then it will load OS X, this gets anoying tho. How do i load up OS X without needing to use the cd ?? Please Help Thanks, Mike Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23578-avoiding-rddisk0s2/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
I believe you need to set your OSX partition "Active". Here is one way: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=22844 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23578-avoiding-rddisk0s2/#findComment-156433 Share on other sites

JHO
I beleive that if you boot into OSX and edit the boot.plist file to automatically boot with that config then it should do it for you. I can't remember specifics but it worked for me. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23578-avoiding-rddisk0s2/#findComment-156564 Share on other sites
