Silviu Filip
Hello everyone, This is my first post on this forum. I'm running OS X 10.6.4 (iATKOS S3 v2 with Apple update from 10.6.3 to 10.6.4) on an Acer Aspire 7730g 583G25Mn machine. I've got an Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 (Merom 2-M) CPU which registers 95 to 100 °C with Temperature Monitor after around 10 mins of usage (fullscreen youtube video rendering). Under Windows 7, CPU reads around 70 °C idle and up to 84 °C on load with Everest or CoreTemp. Ambient is always under 23 °C. CPU Tj. Max says 85 °C. These temps worry me, especially the readings in OS X, where I've tried using several monitors. Any suggestions are appreciated! Greetings from Transylvania! Silviu Filip
I forgot to mention I've installed Voodoo Power from the CPU Power Management menu in the iATKOS dvd. The other 2 options were Voodoo P-State and EVO-Speedstep. Does this ring any bell?
