Hi Guys,

untill now my hackintosh worked brilliant, partly thanks to this forum, and in perticular to the Master Chief who posted all his p5k pro kexts that fixed a lot of my issues.

Then i added a formerly 1tb ntfs disk, that i converted to hfs+... at first everything went as expected.. But all of a sudden the disk became very slow. it was in hfs+ format but operating speeds where ntfs-like!

It takes like 1 minute to open a folder and browse contents... if i play a soundfile in vlc i get errors like these in console utiliy:

10/29/10 1:21:27 PM [0x0-0x24024].org.videolan.vlc[325] [0x10b284398] main input error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late (pts_delay increased to 4618 ms)

i also get these on a regular basis:

10/29/10 1:19:11 PM quicklookd[300] [QL] 'Creating thumbnail - cancelled' timed out for '<QLThumbnailRequest /Volumes/Music/(LIVE) Aphex Twin - Live at Pukkelpop DJ Set 22-08-2002.zip.mp3>' (Start date: 2010-10-29 13:19:04 +0200)

Then i did a Zero-out format... but it was too slow to show any progress.. so after 10 hours i quit the zeroiing stuff..

and now the REALLY weird part: When SL just boots, the disk operates quite normal.. files transfer blazingly fast as expected.. but after 2 minutes or so, the disk just runs like a cripled old woman ;) it just makes no sense.

My startup disk runs very nice from the start.. no problems at all..

My setup:

Asus P5K PRO

Intel Q6600

4GB 667Mhz DDR2 SDRAM

OSX 10.6.4

Startup disk Hitachi 250gb

Troubled disk WD 1TB green caviar

Can anybody point me to the next step i have to take?

Can i debug this in some way?

Cheers!

Maarten
