I've been trying tonymacx86's #####+##### install method for Snow Leopard. First it wouldn't work thanks to my aged IDE optical drive, which I replaced with a SATA one. Now, I get into the loading screen but no further. My BIOS is set to IDE=Native, SATA=AHCI, HPET=Enabled. I've tried booting with -x and -s, but I always end up with this error:- disk0s2: I/O error.

At the same time, I notice my DVD drive stops spinning. I moved my ports around so my optical drive is on SATA0 and the HDD I'm installing to is SATA1, but still no go. I'm really, really stuck, so I came here hoping someone knows why this happens. My specs are:-

Intel DG33FB m/board

Core 2 Quad

Asus 9400 GT 512MB

SATA Optical Drive

SATA HDD

3GB DDR2
