Hi everyone!

I'm looking to buy a laptop, but first I need to know if anyone was able to install Hackintosh on this laptop or if the system is compatible with hackintosh.

My system specs:

Dell inspiron 1764

Processor: intel Core I5-430M 2.26 GHz

Chip-set: Intel HM55

Graphics: Intel GMA HD

Current OS: Windows 7

I really appreciate if someone can help me with this.

The graphic card is not supported for graphic acceleration, you only have native resolution.

  • 2 weeks later...

can you confirm that is true for my inspiron 1764 ?

because my graphics settings seem different that the ones the last user posted

cpuz says my graphics is:

and if the last answer still holds (The graphic card is not supported for graphic acceleration, you only have native resolution.) then what does this really mean? does this mean I can only use VGA mode? or that only some resolutions are possible?

now I am completely lost... I thought "system profiler" was a mac tool, not a pc tool :)

is there something I am supposed to be able to do on win7?

Sorry did nor realise you had not yet installed. There is a Win. version of "System Info app" to be found on the forum.

ok, here is what I got:

Do those 2 items make it a no-go? or are there workarounds?

Suggest you ask the App developer in the thread where the download link was
