oels Posted August 5, 2006 Share Posted August 5, 2006 Hello I just downloaded the new skype beta 1.5, installed by dropping to applications folder. When I try to run the program it appears at the dock for a second and then disappears. The application doesnt load. How do I solve this problem ? I am up and running with the beta on my MacBook Pro with no problems. If all else fails I guess either contact skype with the problem or go back to the stable version. I've noticed that the 1.5 Skype beta with video doesn't work on my Hackintosh (Celeron 3.3 GhZ ... intel 945 board) whereas it works fine on my macbook. The 1.4 versions of skype worked fine on the Hackintosh. Seeing that on Windows, Skype determines what CPU it is running on to enable certain features (also see maxxuss's skype hack) maybe they check whether they work on at least a core sole/core duo CPU ?
