This is my second hackintosh, the first being an old computer that I was just playing around.

I want to create a hackintosh pro.

Heres what Im looking for in a motherboard.

2 sockets!!!!

SATA slots -- more is always better, maybe 4-6??

4 or 6 RAM slots! THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART

I'd prefer an intel socket, but AMD is ok too.

Any advice?

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL

Maybe just get a nice core 2 duo or like one of the new i3, i5, i7 processors from intel?

I'm pretty sure 4 ram slots is plently.

Instead of having 4-6 Sata drives, maybe just 1 or 2 large ones?

You definitely have alot of research ahead of you.

Bump! With an actual answer please. I need 2 sata for dvd drives, and 2 for hard drives. One for boot (ssd) and one for music/movies etc.... It will be a gaming station so, 2 pci-e slots would be preferable, (not neccessary). Ill be using a Radeon HD 5770 1GB. I dont think that telling you drives would matter, but I can if you'd like! Thanks!

I didn't understand something, now I get it. It doesnt matter the amount of sata, I can use an sata controller to expand the amount right?
