I am aquiring the snowleopard build 6... but as far as that goes im hopeless. Dell vostro 1510 core 2 duo T5670 @ 1.80GHZ, MMX,SSE (1,2,3S) EM64T mainboard intel chipset GM965, southbridge intel 82801HBM (ICHE-ME) Memory Type DDR2 dual channel, 2048 MBytes, DC MOde Symetric Dram Fequency 332.5, FSB:DRAM = 3:5 max Bandwidth = PC2-6400 (400MHZ) Graphics = intergrated Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family Revision C, 448MBytes I have a dvd DL drive Lets make it happen.... Also once I get the MAC OS how do I get it to disk? It is a .rar file which I cant unpack, i dont know why. I am stuck... I dont know what all that is The first link in that search uses a retail install disk ( $US 25-30). Why not purchase it? If you can't unpack a rare file with the right software, it may be corrupt. If it unpacks to a dmg file research how to convert to ISO All the other stuff, adding, deleting, kext stuff is research! Now I can research everything else. I am very good at that. unfortunately I only have the weekends to do anything as my work schedule is so hectic and the drive so long. so I was hoping to get the short version if you know what I mean... I am not really interested in the mac, just need to run openssh and mobile terminal so my pc will shake hands with my iphone 4. BUT there is never a eary way to do anything. Cant afford a mac either. Now is it possible to do all this to like a western digital 160gig usb drive. It is one of the older ?pci? type that has the ribbon cable into the Number 1 slot etc... I just put it in a case though. I will research that as well... Now I have made my slboot.iso , I have my zipfile of dell 1510 files, I have about 20 hours left on aquiring my snow leopard... which i think hass a voodoo and chamileon kext ( w/e those are!) so I should be good till my download completes... So thank you for the help, advice, resources, and time!!!!! I am at a stand still til i get my software done...
