galaga4991 Posted October 20, 2010 Share Posted October 20, 2010 I've been very interested in switching to Mac OS X on my Desktop ever since I heard that Hackintosh PCs work pretty well now. The only thing is, I have no idea what's compatible with my hardware. Here's what I have right now: AMD Phenom II X4 955 @3.2 GHz ASUS M4A79XTD EVO Motherboard 4GB DDR3 1600 RAM 2x ATI Radeon 5770 (Crossfire) Can anyone lead me in the right direction on where I should go from here? It is Intel Mac - not AMD Mac. Now I don't say you can't run OS X on AMD. You can. But it will be much more difficult to accomplish then on Intel machine. I used iAtkos S3 v2 (or something like that) and just installed it with a custom kernel (click customize during install) the azure bootloader, and the drivers i needed. the 5770 drivers have to be installed afterwards.
