I've been very interested in switching to Mac OS X on my Desktop ever since I heard that Hackintosh PCs work pretty well now. The only thing is, I have no idea what's compatible with my hardware. Here's what I have right now:

AMD Phenom II X4 955 @3.2 GHz

ASUS M4A79XTD EVO Motherboard

4GB DDR3 1600 RAM

2x ATI Radeon 5770 (Crossfire)

Can anyone lead me in the right direction on where I should go from here?

Yes, they does, but on Intel based machines - not AMD. It is Intel Mac - not AMD Mac.

Now I don't say you can't run OS X on AMD. You can. But it will be much more difficult to accomplish then on Intel machine.

OS X Does not support crossfire, and i'm running this setup and it works like a charm:

AMD B50 X4 @ 3.6GHZ

4GB DDR3 1333mhz

AMD 5770 (In crossfire, but when i am in OS X i remove one card)

GA-MA790GPT-UD3H

Ok, well what method did you use to install OS X?

I used iAtkos S3 v2 (or something like that) and just installed it with a custom kernel (click customize during install) the azure bootloader, and the drivers i needed.

the 5770 drivers have to be installed afterwards.
