Too Simple
My dell optiplex desktop is using Broadcom eXtreme 5787 (14e4:169b) card. I managed to install 10.6 (10a432) successfully and everything works perfectly, except the network! And you know, without a working NIC card, how the life would be... I tried almost every 57xx .kext that I could find on the Internet, but no luck. I also tried to use a binary editor to modify the .kext following those instructions available by myself, but it didn't work either. I just wonder if anyone has made it, and if yes, could you please kindly share it with us? Thanks so much...
Too Simple
It's reported that Apple's new OS: Lion was released with its new MacBook Air. I hope the new OS has better support for NICs. The look of its products, and their UI are really cool, but it also sucks that its OS does not support well that many widely used NICs! Too Simple
It seems that nobody has ever made it with this Broadcom eXtreme 5787 (14e4:169b) card in Dell Optiplex, what a pity~
