Recently I decided to go back to square one and buy me a new computer :( . with a budget of 600 dollars i set out to buy an Apple. As you know 600 dollars dosn't get you very far in the world of mac os. so i decided to look at pcs. of course dell, hp, and all the other pc companys offered some much cheaper models with about the same amount of harddrive space and memory. as you know the key difference is the os. and i love mac os . i knew i had to have iLife. so i set out to build me a hackintosh. :thumbsdown_anim:

now i did a little research and understand the basics of how this all works. and ithink i can do it i just had a few questuions before getting into the nitty gritty.

I am not that good at all this stuff, but my roommate is a wiz at this stuff. and he says if i figure it out he'll do it for me. he just dosn't know mac os. i have no need to worry about losing my important files since the pc is brand new.

so here it is..... do i need a different crack to run mac os x 86 on a dual core pc?

what kind of a pc you guys would recomend (for my budget) to run os86?

anything and everything will be appreciated

thanx for putting up with a newb

you could buy the same components that i have. with the common hacks avalible on this forum you can get a stabil running and fast system.

i habe full usb2, firewire, network and sata support out of the box.

sound is also working in and out but from the wrong jack but if you use mac osx primary like me it doesnt matter from whitch jack the sound comes.

also buy the X1600 from Giga-Byte with the boris patch its working fine with QE/CI and full supported resolution changes and no tearing just like a real mac. i can even play call of duty 2 like on a real mac. very fast! (universal bin)

hope i could help you
