nighthowler01
I have read that You could install iDeneb from a partition using Leopard HD Install helper. I made the partition on FAT32, the files copied on it, later, y reboot but the computer runs Windows! I don't want windows to boot, How do I boot the partition with iDeneb Instalation files? Gringo Vermelho
It must be a primary partition, follow the instructions: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=110388 The problem is that if you're doing this from the Windows Disk Management console thing you'll need to use a second drive as it will not allow you to have more than one primary partition per drive. I think there are other tools that'll let you do this on Windows but I don't know enough about partitioning to say if that's okay to do or not. Maybe there's a good reason why the Windows disk management tool don't allow it. You should investigate this before proceeding. If you have access to a Mac or working Hackintosh you can use the 'restore' function in Apple Disk Utility to restore a hacked install DVD to a hard drive partition, the process is totally automated, just run Disk Utility and find where it says 'restore', the rest will be obvious. The partition will then be bootable just like the DVD. You can also do this with a retail OS X DVD but then you'll need to use a boot CD or install a bootloader to the hard drive or whatever you have, USB stick etc. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/234682-how-to-install-ideneb-from-a-partition/#findComment-1566294 Share on other sites
