bttfpromo
Hi, I downloaded a 4.26 GB iso called "Mac OS X 10.4.6 x86 Install DVD (JaS)" So, after it's downloaded, I open it with UltraISO and low and behold, it only has like 200 KBs of BOOT files. What do I do? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23461-help-needed-with-1046-jas-install-dvd/ Share on other sites

Rammjet
You can't see the HFS+ formatted files under Windows unless you have MacDrive installed. bttfpromo
So I can download MacDrive and verify that there are HFS files? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23461-help-needed-with-1046-jas-install-dvd/#findComment-155718 Share on other sites
Rammjet
Yes, but trust me, the JaS image is very popular (I used it). The files are there. Why go to all the extra trouble of installing MacDrive? If you have Alcohol installed, there will be a conflict. bttfpromo
D: In MacDrive, I click "View MacDisks on this computer" and so I go to my DAEMON TOOLS mounted ISO and it shows the BOOT files! EDIT Okay, I'll burn the image with Alcohol, but if it doesn't work, I'm going to cut you. >_> Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23461-help-needed-with-1046-jas-install-dvd/#findComment-155723 Share on other sites
fingerr
So I can download MacDrive and verify that there are HFS files? I don't know if TransMac works with Virtual Drives like Deamon but with regular DVD's you can see HFS+ contents (i'm 99% sure it'll work with Daemon Tools). Rammjet
So, I'm not gonna get "cut". During the install, right before clicking on the "Install" button be sure to click on the "Customize" button and select packages for your computer. Otherwise, you will have boot problems.
