CaptainNegatory
Hello Everyone, So basically, I'm stressed as hell. After finally, and successfully installing Snow Leopard on my Dell Studio 1537, I lost all hardware functions. I have no network, mouse, keyboard, sound, etc. I've got only a display and my wireless USB mouse works. I've listed what I know about my hardware specs below because I haven't been able to figure out what exactly is in my machine. I've been unable to get help now and have been computerless for 3 weeks. I would seriously appreciate any help. Serious fixes to my issue could be rewarded. Thanks VERY MUCH in advance. Appreciated, C. Sir Sno
Hello Everyone, So basically, I'm stressed as hell. I also have a Dell Studio 1537. We have almost the same specs just wondering about the video card. For the audio whell mine just works from installation on. Chipset. he recognizes it so must be good. The sd card reader: haven't tested it yet. Network: The broadcom ethernet doesn't work for me yet.. The Wlan worked from the installation till reboot.. *exadentely turn off the switch and put it back on.. but still wont turn on.* CD/DVD drive works without a dought. Touchpad.. REALLY sensitive.. and no scroll nor double tap. My videocard is the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450 but in the specs of mac it gives me a 48xx series.. and the standard 1280 x 7xx so it works but not optimal.. I used iATKOS s3 v2 dvd to install.. i went through the configuration at the installation. maybe thats where you went wrong. It took me up to 5 or 6 times to actually get it to this far.. Don't ask me which options i turned on or off because i wouldn't really know.. i just read the info of all the options and choose those that came as best for my laptop (now also known as Macbook v4.2) I hope that you got some information out of this. With kind regards, A Sungur Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/234391-help-studio-1537-lost-all-hardware-after-snowleopard-install/#findComment-1580152 Share on other sites
