djurkinthebox
Hi everyone. I have a fully functioning(for the most part) iAtkos v7 install on my asus m3a78-cm, phenom 9550 quad, and gts 250. Everything seems to work okay, dual screens, sound etc... but about 80% of the software I try to install, just hangs there on the installer screen with the spinning color wheel. Anybody else have this issue? Kernel is voodoo 9.7 Chameleon
djurkinthebox
*UPDATE* Okay... so it seems that I'm only having problems with certain installer packages. If I run a program that doesn't need to be installed, they run without a hitch. I tried doing a search on the forum, but no luck. Is there a kext or a fix that I need to install? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the response though If they are pkg installers you could try installing them or extracting them with Pacifist. Does sound like your system is not healthy though. try running fsck -fy in single user mode and repair permissions.

I used the fsck -fy command like you said, and it didn't find any problems with my disk. I am able to install things with Pacifist, so I guess I'll just have to live with it
