Slow system ? - Dell Vostro 400

Hello Everybody.

 

 

First off, Thanks for a fantastic forum, and for all the efforts made by the people posting here. I dont think i would have a running system if not for this forum, so a big thumbs up from here :-D

 

 

First I bought a Mac-Mini, but it was too weak for my needs, so i decided to try a build a hackintosh system out of my existing Dell Vostro 400. I had no big lumb of money lying around for a MacPro.

 

 

My system seems to be running almost perfect, except for a few minor kinks, and i am able to record and create music using Logic, through my Maudio Profire 2626.

 

First problem :

When booting in 64/64bit mode i get an "Error Parsing Plist Files" followed by an error message telling me that there was errors on boot, so autoboot was halted. I can then click my Mac HD and boot without further problems.

The problem is not there when booting in 32b.

 

 

Second problem :

I think my system is running slow, based on xbench results, compared to other systems with equal or lesser hardware. The overall Xbench results with harddrive is between 103-105 and without HD 116-119, booted in 64b, running 64b krnl.

 

I have also downloaded Geekbench trial and tested the system, Geekbench Score 3506, but i was only albe to run GB in 32 mode because of trial.
