FATGUYMEST
I've tried installing the 10.4.6 goatsex DVD on my machine (ASUS P5GD1-VM motherboard). The install goes as it should and everything appears to be fine until the the reboot at the end of the install. Once the install reboots the machine, OSX begins to load. Everything appears to load except the video. I can hear the little "Welcome video" playing and everything, but the screen is just blank. Does anyone know why this is happening? I am using the video support that is built into the motherboard as it is the same video on the original developer boxes that Apple sent out with the first intel build of OSX a year and a half ago. Please advise, and thanks for any help that anyone can provide. Rammjet
If the video is DVI, try using a DVI-VGA adapter. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23379-1046-goatsex-install-problem/#findComment-155092 Share on other sites
FATGUYMEST
If the video is DVI, try using a DVI-VGA adapter. the video is VGA. also....the 10.4.5 install that is on the same DVD as the 10.4.6 install works just fine. Just can't get 10.4.6 to work. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23379-1046-goatsex-install-problem/#findComment-155098 Share on other sites
Rammjet
Your motherboard has GMA 900 video. There are lots of threads on the board about GMA 900. Might try a search. Rammjet
Try booting up in single user mode (-s) and if that gives you a visible GUI, then follow this: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=123069 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23379-1046-goatsex-install-problem/#findComment-155129 Share on other sites
