I've added three Samsung Spinpoint F3 7,200 RPM 1TB drives to my system. Using Disk Utility I created a striped volume with all three disks. Since it's a striped drive I don't loose any space and I gain the spindle count for performance!

For my root volume I am using a WD 10,000RPM 300GB Velociraptor drive. I ran Xbench 1.3 and benchmarked my 10K Velociraptor at 98.64. I then ran Xbench against the new 3TB three drive volume I created and got a result of 410.39!!

Yes, 410!!!!

I'll be using this new drive for my Photoshop swap along with general movie and files storage. I'm just passing along some good information.
