motorhead6776 Posted October 1, 2010 Share Posted October 1, 2010 so i got bored installed osx tonight but since the last time i was running osx i have purchased a WinTV-HVR-2250 tuner card to watch tv in my dorm. any hope of getting this working or am i outta luck? i tried looking a bit but i dont have a clue where to start... So far as I understands, those pci cards are so specific for windows, also the control software, it will never works. Check their website, there is not even one word about macosx mentioned at the whole site. Of course I hope that I am really really wrong. wizkidweb Posted November 3, 2010 Share Posted November 3, 2010 I'm in this same predicament, and I haven't lost hope of getting this to work. Hauppage makes several different HVR models, and the USB (HVR-900, HVR-950, HVR-950Q) ones work on Snow Leopard with EyeTV. Maybe a modification of a driver or some hack can be used to get this to work. Of course, that would include trying to get EyeTV or other television recording software to work with it.
