First off this is my first new post to this wonderful messageboard, and I want to thank all of you for the information that is available on these pages. It's quite amazing.

Last week was the 3rd time trying to get OSX to work effectively and looks like I finally did.

The first disk I had was the DVD Developer's Kit, I think it was OSX ver. 10.6.4.... but about a month ago I decided to try it again, and I downloaded JaS 10.4.6 and will update it to 10.4.7 later on this week.

The main reason that I never messed with OSx86 was because I could never find drivers for my wireless lan card, and I was always stuck on 1024X768 display; after about an hour or two I finally found out how to fix both. Getting the wireless was a pain; but worth it; I'm hoping this posting will resolev my issue with iMovie.

I have the same error as another guy in this messageboard, I can load up the app messaround with titles and stuff but when I got to add a photo or anything that deals with photos or such ithe application crashes. It doesn't matter it has happened every single time.

Here is my error report that was generated from the iMovie Application:

As you know there is much more to the Apple error report; but I just cut it off where the exception is at.... if any of you smart gurus can help let me know.

The other topic said that you must have Core Image (CI) Quartz Extreme (QE) in order to have iMovie to work; as far as I know I do have both enabled according to the System Profiler in OSX.

And here is information about my computer:

I'm hoping there is a resolution to this problem, as the more and more I use OSX the more I like it. Unfortunately this is the only application that has given me any sort of error. I'm obtaining the whole package of "iLife" as we speak and hoping that resolves the problem..... since I got the others using individual packages. iPhoto (has a few minor kinks) and iWeb work just fine.

My specs are in my user signature.

The video card I have is ATI Radeon X600 SE (256MB VRAM)

Help!!! :happymac:

Woooo hooo

Fixed the error by installing JaS 10.6.7 patch over my previous installation, rebooted and just for the heck of I reinstalled iMovie and iPhoto; both work completely perfectly now. iPhoto now gives me thumbnail views when I want to do a quick fix. And iMovie works like a charm .... you can tell it's procesor intensive though..... hear my fan going when it rendering photo ans video effects...

rock on..... tomorrow I'm completely re-partitioning my hard drive and putting it on there
