alecutheman
I installed snow leopard today and I still can't get the ethernet to work. I have a Marvell Yukon 88E8056 network card and I got the driver from here: http://www.kexts.com/view/505-marvell_yuko..._pre_fixed.html I replaced the files from system/extensions/IONetworking*something*/content with the ones I got from the link above and repaired the permissions with kexts utillity. After that I shut down the PC and started it up again, there was a new connection found and it showed as connected for a minute or so.. but Safari/Itunes Store etc wouldn't work. After about a minute I got a "you're not connected" message or something like that and the network diagnostics window showed the "Internet" and "Server" lights yellow Also, I noticed that once booting up windows (I dual boot with win7) the internet doesn't work until I restart the modem Can someone help me make the internet working properly please? Thanks
alecutheman
Here's hoping my question got overlooked and that I don't need to buy a new network card Perhaps there are some key settings in my modem I need to look out for? Also, which are some cheap network cards which are known of working well with OSX?
