rafpac
Good day to all you beautiful programmers out there who make our lives so so so much cooler. I was wondering is there a way to edit or modify a kext from one vendor to work with another vendor's product, given they have the same chipset. The reason I ask is because I own a Tp-link tl-WN422g wifi usb adapter. It has an Atheros 5007UG chipset but there are no OSX kexts at all. On the other hand the Mac Sense WUA 880 uses the same chipset and is made for mac. They have leopard kexts. SO I was wondering if that kext could be edited to install the TP-link card on Leopard. At the moment I want to know from someone with the knowledge for programming if it is possible. I do not expect someone to come in and perform a miracle. Any feedback will be appreciated thanks. NOOOOB OUT!
JBraddock
If they have the same chipset, you try installing that driver for Leopard. Little chance that it may work. I would buy another device tough.
