ipc doesnt recognize any hard drive

Hi every1,

 

just jumped in the world of osx86, and having a problem. when i boot up the ipc 10.5.6 disk i cant see my disks in disk utility, although i can see them under ubuntu live cd. i tried lots of dfferent file systems preconfigured(fat32, unformatted, hfs+) but they still dont show up. just to make sure it wasnt the sata connection i tried an ide drive too.

 

my setup:

 

Asus p5q deluxe

e6300

1gb ddr2.

asus EAH 4850.

WD caviar blue 640gb

seagate barracuda 160gb.

ide dvd-rw.

 

does any1 know how to fix this or a distro that can recognize my drives?

edit: forgot to mention: i use a custom bios(v3201) without the custom bios it doesnt even boot ipc..
