koadansc
I installed OSX flawlessly and it runs pretty fast all things considered. I am using VMware to run OSX86 version 10.4. Some of my programs will not work such as iTunes, and the DVD Player; I have also been having trouble running some of the OSX86 Wiki approved programs such as Camino, Cyberduck, TextWrangler, and Firefox. Does anyone know why I cannot install or run some of my programs. Thank you for all of your help.
Rammjet
10.4.1 or 10.4.3 or 10.4.4 or 10.4.5 or 10.4.6 Which one? Click on the Apple menu (upper left) and select "About this Mac".
koadansc
I am using OS 10.4.1. Also, I dont know if this is relevant but this VM's profile is set as Linux, Other Linux to increase performance.
Rammjet
10.4.1 is too old to run most of the newer Intel-Mac applications. The structure of the programs changed around 10.4.3. You need a newer version.
koadansc
Okay, thanks for the info RammJet, that was incredibly fast! Thanks again. One more question. Can I get this update from Apple's website or do I need a special version of the update? Thanks again.
Rammjet
Just like your 10.4.1 was a special version, you are going to need a special version in order to install on non-Apple hardware. Apple does not support that effort.
