koadansc Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 I installed OSX flawlessly and it runs pretty fast all things considered. I am using VMware to run OSX86 version 10.4. Some of my programs will not work such as iTunes, and the DVD Player; I have also been having trouble running some of the OSX86 Wiki approved programs such as Camino, Cyberduck, TextWrangler, and Firefox. Does anyone know why I cannot install or run some of my programs. Thank you for all of your help. Also, I dont know if this is relevant but this VM's profile is set as Linux, Other Linux to increase performance. Rammjet Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 10.4.1 is too old to run most of the newer Intel-Mac applications. The structure of the programs changed around 10.4.3. Rammjet Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 Just like your 10.4.1 was a special version, you are going to need a special version in order to install on non-Apple hardware.
