Dug Batterson
So I have my hackintosh up and running with little problems. I am trying to run Cubase 4LE, but it fails to recognize the onboard audio (Realtek ALC888B). After reading suggestions from this board and the Steinberg board, I have come to the conclusion I need a different sound card with ASIO driver that Cubase will recognize. I had an old Audiophile 2496 from an older G4 Mac that I installed with the ENVY24 driver and it worked fine for sound, but Cubase still doesn't see it. (Although I used this card with Cubase in the older G4..) Are there any guru's out there who have successfully run Cubase on their hackintosh? If so, what sound device/drivers did you use? If I gotta buy a new card, I'm hoping for at least a direction to start. This stabbing in the dark doesn't get it. I don't have the time, nor the money to "experiment". Thank-You so much for any light you might be able to shed on this problem.
