ASUS L5800GM (L5G) Laptop?

I am in the process of researching to see if I can get OSX to behave on my ASUS L5G laptop. The hardware compatibility list doesn't list by hardware exactly, but I have seen some drivers which *may* work with my hardware. I need a better idea of what I'm in for before I format my laptop and proceed:

 

ASUS P4 3.2ghz

 

Gigabit Ethernet: 3c940 (3rd party 3Com/SysKonnect driver?)

Asus 802.11b Wireless (probably not supported at all)

AC97 Sound (*might* work)

Ricoh Cardbus Controller (??)

 

Anyone have any experience with this laptop before I proceed? I saw only one post where someone succeeded in booting OSX but with no sound or network. No mention of any attempts to get that hardware working.
