motherboard is not the one in my sig, its an asustech. I can't seem to find a way to get it to go to a higher res than 1024x768. I also can not go on the internet unless I boot with the ##### CD. My guess is it has something to do with 32bit vs 64 bit, being botting with ##### boots me into 32 bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I installed with the vanilla kernel and afterwards I used #####(Didn't help anything except booting from harddrive)

My motherboard has the intel g33 express family chipset and runs on a e2200 2.2ghz core 2 duo processor. I think my ethernet is a realtek, for that problem when I try to connect without booting with the ##### CD, when I go into network, it shows that the ethernet cable is connected but says, I can't connect because its been self assigned an IP address. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
