i have a Packard Bell with spec:

Intel Pentium Yonah T2060 1.60GHz (SSE2,SSE3)

Mainboard: Packard Bell MZ35 (ATI RS400/RC400/RC410 Chipset with Southbridge SB400)

ATI Radeon XPRESS 200M

80GB PATA Hard Disk

2GB RAM

i try different distro(ideneb, kalyway, leo4all v2) but all of them give me boot error: Still waiting for root device.

in bios i dont have acpi or other setting like these.

it is a chance to install osx86 on my laptop?

acpisettings has nothing to do with the problem. It looks like you need a proper driver for the disk controller (namely SB400) in the first place.

Then check these in BIOS (if you have such settings in BIOS)

  • ATA/IDE Mode : Native
  • Configure SATA as : AHCI
  • S.M.A.R.T. : Enabled

Also:

  • Your rom/writer must be set as Primary Master.
  • Your hard-disk must be set as Primary Slave .

Though I'm not sure about the VGA you have...
